The purpose of the Laila White - Heart to Serve Scholarship is to provide unrestricted educational funding to a first generation“Brown Girl” attending Fisk University in the Fall of 2023. The Laila White Scholarship recipient must clearly demonstrate a financial need and possess an interest and a

heart to serve their community. To be considered for the Laila White - Heart to Serve Scholarship, please submit the following:

1. Completed Application

2. Copy of Fisk University Acceptance Letter

3. Proof of Fisk University financial package and documented financial need (post funding)

4. Official High School Transcript

5. Professional Photo (passport size)

6. Essay

7. Signed Mentorship Commitment
